Woodgate and O'Hara return

Jonathan Woodgate

Jonathan Woodgate and Jamie O'Hara have both returned from long term injuries as they face a QPR side in a friendly on Tuesday, at Spurs Lodge.

We lost Woodgate over a year ago, back in November 2009, after he picked up a groin injury in the 9-1 win over Wigan at the Lane. He has undergone a great deal of treatment since in order for him to regain fitness. Woodgate was left out of Redknapps 25-man squad that was submitted to the FA at the beginning of the season and could go out on loan until the end of the season.

Jamie O'Hara has also return after a long spell out with a back problem. Jamie spent time on load at Portsmouth before they got relegated.

Pienaar Joins!

Everton accept out bid for midfielder Steven Pienaar and he has now agreed personal terms with the club.

The 28year old joins us after signing a 4 and will wear the number 40 shirt, according to his Twitter page.

Everton had also accepted a bid from Chelsea and Pienaar also held talks with at Stamford Bridge but White Hart Lane was where he wanted to go.

We await his work permit before knowing if he will be part of the squad to travel to Newcastle on Saturday.

FA Cup Result: Spurs 3 Charlton 0

Spurs progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a home win in a London derby over Charlton Athletic.

In a game which saw Bale not make the team sheet and Modric, Van der Vaart, Lennon and Hutton start on the bench, this saw the likes of Corluka, Kranjcar and Sandro make a rare start. The starting line up also saw young Andros Townsend make his debut. And what a debut it was ...

After going in on the break at 0-0, Townsend opened the scoring with a shot from 20yards out, a low strike hit the back of the net soon after the second half got underway.

Like the first half, chances continued for both sides but it was Spurs who found the goal. This time, it was Defoe who was back from a 3 match ban. An excellent ball from Modric, who replaced Palacios at half time, found Kranjcar who laid the ball off into Defoe's path for him to fire the ball home.

Less than 3 minutes later Spurs extended their lead, again Defoe with the goal. The striker broke from inside his own half, had options left and right but went alone, got a little bit of luck as first shot bounced off defender back into his path and slotted home past Elliot.

Few chances followed but Cudicini held out to keep a clean sheet and see Spurs progress to the fourth round.

Beckham joins Spurs

David Beckham has joined us from LA Galaxy until 10th February.

He will train with the team until the start of the MLS season when he will return to America.

Manager Harry Redknapp said: "David is a fantastic professional - he will be a great influence around the place and I am sure we will all benefit from his winning mentality. I think everyone will enjoy having him here."

"We'd love to have him here for longer but respect his commitments to LA Galaxy. They wanted him back in early February so that made it difficult to do a playing deal on the basis of three weeks. "

David Beckham said: "It's important that I maintain a high level of fitness during the MLS off season. I'm thankful to Tottenham and Harry Redknapp for giving me the opportunity to train with the team over the next month. I'm grateful to the LA Galaxy for allowing to me to train with Spurs. I look forward to getting to work as soon as possible."
